This stereogram has 2 fascinating features: 1. lots of levels depth, not common for the stereograms with hidden image 2. New rendering style ("Stained Glass")
The depth was a hard part, it's not so easy to get such result using standard tools. I developed interesting technique to achieve such a depth, but I think technical details won't be interesting here.
But yet another new style is a great news for me. If you can notice this stereogram consists of elements similar to puzzle tiles connected together. And the tiles are matching with contours of hidden objects. They are also similar to old stained glass artworks, so I named this style "Stained Glass Stereogram".
One of the methods to create this type of stereogram is to take contour stereogram and color it segment by segment. This would be a very routine task and I wouldn't like to do it manually, so I wrote a program to somehow automate this process. Though it worked out nicely it still takes hours of work.
Later I'll make and post more works in this style.
it seems a bit too layered. hard to focus on the entire picture. i have to change focus betwen the guy in the corner, the jeep and the funny stuff in front. not difficult for me but i think someone might find this frustrating. is it possible to make ti blend a bit more? oh and my compliments on your skill! you're the master!
Thanks! the layers so far apart were made like that on purpose. You're right, some people might have difficulties seeing it, but for those who mastered stereograms it's lot of fun to refocus from one layer to another.
